What this tool is
When to Refill is a free, browser-based date calculator designed to help users estimate when their medication supply may run out and when to request a refill. It is a date calculation utility only.
This tool does not:
- Provide medical advice of any kind
- Provide dosage instructions or recommendations
- Diagnose medical conditions
- Replace the advice of a doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional
- Guarantee the accuracy of any calculated date
Accuracy and limitations
All calculations are estimates based solely on the information you enter. The accuracy of results depends entirely on the accuracy of the information provided. Results may be affected by:
- Incorrect dates, quantities, or dose frequencies entered by the user
- Changes in prescribed dosage not reflected in the inputs
- Missed doses or irregular use
- Pharmacy or prescriber processing times that differ from defaults
- Inaccurate extraction from medication label photos

Photo upload and third-party services
If you use the photo upload feature, your image is processed by the Anthropic API to attempt label extraction. We do not guarantee the accuracy of extracted information. Always review and confirm all extracted fields before calculating. Medication labels can be misread.

The design, code, and content of this website are owned by When to Refill. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
